On Monday, April 7, Hardik Pandya made history by being the first Indian player to reach the double milestone of 5000 runs and 200 wickets in Twenty20 cricket. At the legendary Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the all-rounder made history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Match No. 20 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI). To take his 200th wicket, Hardik took out Liam Livingstone. In order to end with figures of 4-0-45-2, he also got rid of Virat Kohli.

Before Hardik claimed his wicket, Virat Kohli too got off to a quick start, amassing 67 runs off 42 balls. Jitesh Sharma gave the innings impetus with his undefeated 40 off 19 balls.
