Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will meet Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The Rajat Patidar-led side have a golden chance to become the third side in the history of the tournament to win the championship in two successive seasons after Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
However, the former RCB icon AB de Villiers has expressed nervousness while talking about the final game, as he believes that GT have an advantage of playing at their home venue and having an in-form bowling line-up.

Speaking on ESPNcricinfo, former RCB star admitted that he is feeling nervous regarding the final clash between the Rajat Patidar-led side and Gujarat Titans. de Villiers talked about how GT can dominate the game as they are coming with a remarkable win over RR despite Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's amazing knock of 96 runs.

"I'm nervous. GT have a lot to be confident about - playing in Ahmedabad, the way they've played, and that win the other night. Even though the Sooryavanshi factor was there, they still came out on top," said de Villiers.
The former South Africa batter hailed the in-form GT bowlers, noting how the bowling department plays a key role in successful campaigns like this while worrying about RCB's performance in the final. Although, de Villiers admitted that the game is going to be a thriller for the fans.
"It once again shows that good bowling attacks tend to come out on top at the end of the day. So I'm worried about that bowling attack in the final. But I think it's going to be edge-of-the-seat stuff and a fantastic final, hopefully a close one for all the fans around the world to enjoy," added de Villiers.
Key players to watch out in RCB vs GT
RCB would love to see another blistering knock from their skipper Rajat Patidar, as he is going through a purple patch this season. On the other hand, GT would look to have another great start from their opening duo of skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan for one last game.
