DC's inconsistent show in IPL 2026

DC are set to return to the Arun Jaitley Stadium for their upcoming home fixture, following a difficult three-game road trip where they managed to secure only one victory.

Currently holding a record of three wins and three losses from their six matches, the team finds itself in a precarious position. Their playoff aspirations hinge significantly on how they perform in the critical matches ahead.

Adding to the challenge, Axar Patel’s men are set to host the Punjab Kings, who are currently the only unbeaten team in the 2026 IPL season, making this a pivotal encounter for the Capitals.

On the other hand, PBKS are the only only undefeated side in the tournament. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the franchise has been dominant, recording five wins and one no-result across six matches. This stellar performance has propelled them to the summit of the points table, anchored by a commanding net run rate of +1.420.
