The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction has been scheduled for November 24 and 25 but will not be held in Riyadh, instead, it will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Abady Al Johar Arena (also known as Benchmark Arena) will be the venue for the auction and the accommodations for the franchise officials will be at the Hotel Shangri-la which is at a distance of 10 minutes from the auction venue.
As the auction dates fall on India's first Test match against Australia in Perth, which is scheduled for November 22–26, there were some scheduling. As per reports, Disney Star, the company that broadcasts the India-Australia Test series and the Indian Premier League, was eager to prevent the two events from directly overlapping. The match will start at 7:50 in the morning and the auction will take place in the afternoon (IST) so it won't overlap a lot with each other and might avoid conflicts with the match broadcast.
