Tristan Stubbs and David Miller led Delhi Capitals to cross the finish line by securing a last-over thriller against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday, April 17, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB' decent performance in first innings
Batting first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) posted a total of 175/8. The innings kicked off the innings on a strong note with a strong opening stand of 52 runs in the first six overs, powered by Phil Salt's explosive 63 runs off 38 deliveries.
Lungi Ngidi removed Virat Kohli early after scoring only 19 runs off 13 balls. After the end of first 10 overs, RCB looked all set for a big total as they reached 99/1.

In the second half of the innings, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav turned the tables with their economic spell off 2/18 and 2/32 respectively, as RCB suffered a batting collapse and managed to collect on 76 runs in the final ten overs. A late cameo of 26 off 17 balls from Tim David led RCB reach 175 at the end of the innings.
Eventful second innings
DC kicked off the second innings on a negative start, losing Pathum Nisanka early on a score of 1 off 2 deliveries. KL Rahul kept the other end safe with his sublime knock of 57 runs off 34 balls, before losing his wicket to Krunal Pandya. After Rahul's wicket, the chase became a bit tricky as DC lost two back-to-back wickets of Karun Nair (5 off 5) and Sameer Rizvi (2 off 3), before Tristan Stubbs (60 off 47 balls) and captain Axar Patel built a decent partnership, before the latter left the field due to a hamstring injury.
Requiring 15 runs off the last over, David Miller (22 off 10) smashed fourteen runs against Romario Shepherd to seal the win for the Delhi-based franchise.
