Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT) restarted their practice session after the announcement of a 'agreement' between India and Pakistan following 'Mission Sindoor' by the Indian Armed Forces to counter terrorism after terrorists shot down Indian civilians in Pahalgam.
GT who won the IPL title in 2022, has started their training session on Sunday, May 16 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The franchise are currently leading in the points table with 16 points and a superior net run rate of 0.793.
Sports Tak earlier reported that the IPL governing body, BCCI, has requested all 10 franchises to assemble their squads for the rest of the tournament, which is expected to start next week after it was suspended for a week, citing border tensions between India and Pakistan.

According to lots of media reports, the BCCI and IPL's governing council have requested all 10 teams to assemble their squads for the rest of the matches of the ongoing season, which is expected to begin from next week after it was suspended for one week.
Jaagran quoted that all the players of the Gujarat-based franchise, besides England's Jos Buttler and South Africa's Gerald Coetzee, attended the practice session.“Our entire squad stuck around. Only Jos and Gerald, but they will come back as required," the official added.
Even before the IPL 2025 was suspended, GT was having a dream run. Their top-order batting lineup- Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler had scored 500 runs each. This is the first team in the tournament's history that their top three batters score 500 runs in a single season.
The first match on resumption will be played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Ekana Stadium instead of the abandoned game between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamsala.
