Kagiso Rabada

Gujarat Titans' Kagiso Rabada (C) celebrates with teammates after taking the wicket of Punjab Kings' Prabhsimran Singh during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 25, 2025.

Highlights:

Kagiso Rabada is expected to walk back into the side considering conditions in Mumbai.

Corbin Bosch may be preferred over Mitchell Santner.

Both teams are unlikely to tinker with the batting lineup.

The clash at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai will decide who dethrones Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) from top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 points table. Hosts Mumbai Indians (MI) have found form at the right time with seven wins from 11 games. Gujarat Titans (GT) are only behind on net run rate (NRR) with seven wins from 10 games.

GT looked a settled side and Shubman Gill is unlikely to make a few changes. The only swap can be Kagiso Rabada coming in for Ishant Sharma. Rabada served man for using a recreational drug and is eligible for selection. Before leaving for home, Rabada took two wickets from as many games. Meanwhile, Ishant got injured in the previous game and could not complete his fourth over. Ishant has taken four wickets from seven games at an average of 51.25. His economy rate is 11.18 runs per over.

MI have won six in a row and they seem to have all their bases covered. In the absence of an injured Mitchell Santner, South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has stepped up. He has taken just one wicket but his economy rate is 7.85 runs per over, slighly less than that of left-arm spinner Santner. Bosch contributed with a cameo on his IPL debut as well. Meanwhile, Santner has scored 39 runs from five innings. Skipper Hardik Pandya will have to take a call depending on the conditions and the match-ups.
