Aaron Finch shares interesting take on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

The former right-handed batter has claimed that the 15-year-old batter should be given a chance in Test cricket, as he could be a game changer in the format. RR's rising young opener is consistently dropping impactful performances with the bat.

As per recent reports, Vaibhav could secure a place in India's squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland. Reacting on the claims, Finch said that the young prodigy could be a dangerous batter in the middle order in Test cricket while drawing a parallel with Rishabh Pant.

"There’s a place in Test cricket for impact players like that. You think of Rishabh Pant and the point of difference he has, he’s one player who can put real fear into an opposition because he’s unpredictable," Finch told the Sydney Morning Herald.

While explaining his point of view, Finch said that Vaibhav could be a pivotal batter at No.5 in Test cricket as he strikes the new ball very well.

"We've seen what Vaibhav (Sooryavanshi) can do against the new ball in T20. If he batted at five in Test cricket against a 50-over-old ball, what could he do there?" Finch added.
