IPL 2025 Mega Auction Latest Updates: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made England all-rounder Liam Livingstone their first buy at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, which was held on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, where 577 players went under the hammer. RCB, who entered the mega auction with a big purse of 83 crore, spent Rs 8.75 crore to get his services the upcoming season of the IPL. But it was Josh Hazlewood who minted most money from RCB, and fetched a staggering amount of Rs 12.5 crore in IPL 2025 mega auction. 

After having a drab show on Day 1, RCB grabbed some big buys on Day 2. On second day, RCB secured the services of all-rounder Krunal Pandya for Rs 5.75 crore. However, their most stunning acquisition was pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, whom they bought for a substantial sum of Rs 10.75 crore. RCB also added other notable players to their squad, including Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Josh Hazlewood, and Rasikh Dar. Before the auction, they had retained key players like Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal.

Earlier, the Bengaluru-based franchise released their key players after facing a humiliating loss in the tournament's last edition, including skipper Faf du Plessis and marquee pacer Mohammed Siraj. The franchise is yet to take a call for their captain in the upcoming season.
