In an interaction with ESPNcricinfo, SRH skipper Pat Cummins claimed that Australian Cricket remains his top priority, as he never wants to miss a single Test game for Australia and stay available as much as possible.

“Nothing has changed for me, my priority is Australian cricket, No. 1, particularly Test cricket. As Test captain, I never want to miss any Test cricket and make myself available for as many Aussie games as I can,” Cummins said.

 

 

Talking further, Pat Cummins revealed that he participates in the IPL as it coincides with holiday break and his focus towards Australian cricket remains strong.

“The IPL is good in that it normally fits in our holiday break, so that's the obvious one, but they are probably my main focuses and I don't see that's going to change at all for the next few years for me at least,” added Cummins.

 

 

How Pat Cummins has fared in IPL 2026

After missing the first half of the tournament, due to a lower back injury, Pat Cummins made a strong comeback while leading the Orange Army. With the ball, The Australian Test skipper has managed to clinch eight wickets in just six matches. The Right-arm pacer has maintained a bowling average of 24.37 and an economy rate of 8.13.

With the bat he has not got many chances, as he has only 29 runs in the tournament with an impressive strike rat of 170.59
