Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar and mentor Dinesh Karthik were seen in a tense discussion with the on-field umpires during a drinks break, and a video of the moment is now widely shared on social media.
Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik tense discussion with the on-field umpires
The situation happened at the end of the 14th over, just after Devdutt Padikkal reached his half-century. While the exact reason for the disagreement is not clear, Patidar, Karthik, and head coach Andy Flower all looked unhappy and spoke to the umpires for a while.

Devdutt Padikkal on RCB's win
On the field, Padikkal continued his strong form. After scoring 61 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he followed it up with a quick 50 against Chennai Super Kings in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 5, playing a key role in RCB’s 43-run win.

“It is just a lot of hard work and a lot of self-belief that has helped me get there. It was not easy to make that change because it was something that I had to change from the foundation that I had in terms of the type of cricket I wanted to play growing up," Padikkal said while speaking at the post-match press conference.
“The change is something that I had to make consciously and RCB and the whole support staff have been really great in guiding me in the right way," Padikkal added.
Padikkal scored 50 off 29 balls, while Tim David played an explosive knock of 70 off just 25 balls. Patidar also contributed with an unbeaten 48 from only 19 deliveries. Their combined effort helped RCB post a huge total of 250/3.
In reply, CSK struggled again with the bat and were bowled out for 207 in the final over, which resulted in their third straight loss of the season.
