Riyan Parag jokingly told paparazzi “Hum nahin hain film stars” while declining a photo request with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

The 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has smashed 583 runs and a record 53 sixes in IPL 2026.

Ahead of Rajasthan Royals' (RR) game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Eliminator fixture, there was a light-hearted moment involving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who could not hold back his smile after RR skipper Riyan Parag denied photographers' request to pose together with the young opener.

A viral video clip of the interaction at the Mumbai Airport is not making rounds across all social media platforms, with Riyan Parag dropping a casual remark, saying they are not film stars.

“Hum nahin hain film stars," stated Parag to photographers.

Big game for Rajasthan Royals

After claiming the fourth place at the points table, RR is all set to meet SRH in the Eliminator fixture. The game will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. A win for RR would secure them a spot in the finals.

RR last played a final in the 2022 edition of the tournament against Gujarat Titans (GT). Unfortunately, GT emerged as the winners. It would be a big task for RR to overcome the SRH challenge.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's stunning IPL 2026 campaign

Vaibhav has impressed everyone with his astonishing performances throughout the season. In 14 games, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has smashed 583 runs at an average of 41.64 with a mind blowing strike rate of 232.27.

He is setting a new standard of batting in the powerplay, as he aims to fully utilize the field restrictions in the first six overs.

Interestingly, the 15-year-old opener has managed to become the first and only Indian batter to hit 50 sixes in a single edition of the tournament. After the league stage, his tally stands at 53 sixes. Additionally, he became the teenager with the most runs in a single T20 competition in the history of cricket.
