India are facing New Zealand for the second Test match at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. This clash is important for both teams as BlackCaps leading 1-0 will look to win this series by winning the ongoing clash and on the other hand Rohit Sharma-led side who lost the first Test match will look for a win to stay in the series. This three-match Test series is important for Men in Blue to seal their spot in the WTC final.

The stakes are high and fans have flocked the stadium to watch their favourite stars in action. BCCI is the richest board in the world and fans are expected to get world-class facilities at the international venues. However, an unexpected situation has been reported from the MCA stadium in Pune. The fans are struggling in Pune to get drinking water during Day 1 of the Test match and are seen protesting against the Maharashtra Cricket Association.

Here is how fans reacted to the water shortage in MCA Pune.

Coming back to match, after opting to bat, early in the innings, Latham and Conway handled Akash's pace effectively, targeting him with four elegant boundaries. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah was economical at the other end.

The game shifted with the introduction of spin. Ravichandran Ashwin made an impact immediately, trapping Latham leg-before for 15 runs off 22 balls, which included two boundaries. At that point, New Zealand was at 39/1 in 7.5 overs. This marked Latham’s ninth dismissal by Ashwin in 11 innings, where he has managed just 128 runs against the spinner, averaging a disappointing 14.22.

Will Young joined Conway, helping New Zealand reach the 50-run mark in 15.1 overs. The pair built a partnership, fending off tight bowling from Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar. However, Young edged one to Rishabh Pant, giving Ashwin his second wicket. New Zealand was then at 76/2 in 24 overs, with Young scoring 18 runs off 45 balls.
