ACC writes letter to BCCI over Asia Cup 2025 schedule.

The Asia Cup 2025, which was scheduled to be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently making headlines after border tension between India and Pakistan. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has yet to announce the schedule of the marquee event, which will tentatively take place in September.

However, Sports Tak finds out that the sponsors and media partners of the mega event are currently pushing the ACC to host a meeting with the BCCI and announce the schedule of the tournament because they are worried about their revenue loss.

As the BCCI are the host of the tournament, the ACC wrote a letter to the Indian cricket board, where they mentioned that sponsors and media rights holders are currently worried about the tournament on why there is a delay in the tournament's schedule. ACC suggested the BCCI to hold a meeting in the first week of July and announce the schedule of the marquee event.

There were also growing calls in India to boycott Pakistan in multilateral events. India and Pakistan do not play a bilateral series in cricket. There was even chatter that India's boycott of Pakistan in global events will be discussed in the next ICC meeting.

However, this letter from ACC to BCCI means that the preparation of the tournament is underway, and it is yet to be decided whether India will host the tournament or the whole tournament will be played at a neutral venue.

India and Pakistan last faced each other in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai, where the Rohit Sharma-led side defeated the arch-rivals by six wickets in a one-sided clash.
