India's young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal created a world record in his short inning in the ongoing India vs Zimbabwe 5th T20I. The left-handed batter smashed a six on the very first ball of the inning which was later signalled no-ball by the umpire and after that, he smashed a second consecutive maximum on the free-hit. So the young opener became the first batter to help India in scoring 13 runs on the first legal ball in a men's T20 International He did this feat on the balls of Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza. However, later he became his victim and was bowled after scoring 12 runs.
Yashasvi started off with a six on the first ball of Raza towards the leg side. He got a full toss and he took full advantage of it. The umpire signed that ball as a no-ball and thus a six came in India's innings without any ball. When Raza again bowled the legal delivery, Jaiswal again smashed a six in front. With this Men in Blue got 13 runs on the very first ball of the inning. Yashasvi became the first batsman to hit two sixes on one ball in T20 International. However, there are three batters including him hit two sixes on the first two balls in T20 International.
In 2022, Tanzania's Ivan Selemani hit two sixes on the first two balls of the innings against Rwanda. He did this off Martin Akayeju's ball. Recently, England opener Phil Salt hit two sixes on the first two balls in the match against Oman.
While writing this copy, Team India have currently scored 127 runs where Samson smashed 50 runs. Young batters Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill and Yashavi Jaiswal got out on less than 20 runs. India have already won this five-match T20I series by 3-1. Shubman Gill and Co. will look to end this series on a winning note.
