India Maharajas will face Asia Lions in the opening match of Legends League cricket on January 20. Virender Sehwag will miss the first game and Mohammad Kaif will be seen leading the Indian side.

The India Maharajas team is led by former India opener Virender Sehwag. Legendary Sachin Tendulkar will not be part of the tournament. However, prominent former Indian players like Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammed Kaif, Sanjay Bangar, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel among others are part of the tournament.

Misbah-ul-Haq will lead the Asia Lions team which will have a mix of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan players. Lions have appointed Tillakaratne Dilshan as their vice captain, while 1996 ICC World Cup-winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga will be their coach.

During the league stage, each team will face each other twice. In the end, the teams finishing in the top two positions on the points table will battle against each other in the final. The venue of the tournament is Oman. All the matches are scheduled to take place at Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Al Amerat city of Oman.

Legends League Cricket 2022 will take place from January 20 to January 29, 2022. A total of 7 matches will take place during the tournament. All the matches will begin at 8 PM IST, 6:30 PM local time.
