England register their biggest ODI win by 275 runs after bundling out Ireland for mere 45, break their 31-year-old record

England Women's cricket team led by Kate Cross scripted history in Belfast as they bowled out Ireland for just 45 runs and registered their biggest win by run margin in the format. England beat Ireland by 275 runs, their highest margin of win in both men and women's cricket. England Women's previous biggest win by 239 runs came against Denmark in 1993.
 

Opener Tammy Beaumont carried her bat as she scored 150 and helped the hosts post 320/8. Beaumont's unbeaten 150-run knock is the fourth-highest score by a batter in women's ODIs.
 

Apart from opener Una Raymond-Hoey, no Ireland batter managed to cross double digits as they were bundled out for 45 in just 16.5 overs. This is their lowest score in the format. The previous lowest of 46 came against Australia in Dublin in 2001.

Tammy’s marathon knock

Earlier, Kate won the toss and opted to bat first in the second ODI of the series. Emma Lamb (18) and Hollie Amitage (19) got off to starts but lost their wickets. Tammy reached her half-century from 63 balls in the 23rd over. Paige Scholfield departed for a single-digit score in the 25th over. At the halfway stage, England were 115/3. 
 

She found the perfect partner in Freya Kemp who attacked in the middle overs. She reached her half-century from just 37 deliveries. England crossed the 200-run mark in the 36th over. The partnership was broken by Jane Maguire in the 38th over. Kemp's 47-ball 65 was laced with seven fours and a couple of sixes.

In the next over, Freya Sargent dismissed Bess Heath lbw. Mady Villiers could not stay long at the crease either and was knocked over by Aimee Maguire in the 42nd over. Tammy reached her century with a boundary in the 44th over. She accelerated in the slog overs. Skipper Kate fell in the 48th over. In the final over, Tammy reached her 150 from 139 balls. Issy Wong hit a six before losing her wicket on the last ball. Tammy's unbeaten 150 included 16 fours and a six.
 

Ireland’s epic collapse

In the run chase, skipper Gaby Lewis and wicketkeeper-batter Amy Hunter fell to Kate in the first over. Kate in her second over dismissed Orla Prendergast as well. Laura Filer bagged three wickets whereas Kemp and Georgia Davis had two scalps each. Una scored 22 runs from 37 balls amidst batting collapse.
