Rohit Sharma's contribution in cricket
Rohit made his international debut in 2007 and has been one of India’s most reliable performers for nearly two decades. Over the years, he has made a strong impact not only as a batter but also as a leader.
Under his captaincy, India were the finalists of the 2023 ODI World Cup and a year later the side defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup 2024, which was India's first silverware after the ODI World Cup 2011. After that, Rohit-led India won the ICC Trophy, defeating New Zealand in the final.
As a batter, Rohit holds an impressive record across formats. He scored more than 4,300 runs in 67 Test matches, including 12 centuries. In ODIs, he has over 11,500 runs in 282 matches with 33 hundreds, while in T20Is, he scored more than 4,200 runs, including five centuries.
