England star cricketer James Vince who was the part of 2019 ODI World Cup winning team got attacked by criminals in his house in Hampshire. He revealed that his family and kids are terrified after two attacks at his home where he lives with his wife and children, who are aged seven and three.

Vince was with his family at his home when the attacks took place and has shared the CCTV footage from the second incident. He also contacted  Hampshire Police on the matter, and has encouraged others to do so if they have any information, with early signs suggesting it could be a case of mistaken identity.

“My wife and I woke suddenly to a load of smashing, and alarms going off,” Vince told The Telegraph when describing the first attack.. “We had no idea what was going on and it was obviously very unnerving so we rushed straight to get the kids to make sure they were safe.

"They were clearly very shaken up. By the time we had done that, and contacted the police, they had gone, and we did not see them. A neighbour saw a car drive away."

As for the second attack, Vince says he "had more of a sense of what was going on" having returned home late from a benefit dinner for team-mate Chris Wood. “Obviously something like this is hugely disruptive in our lives, especially for our children, who have understandably been affected and unsettled by the situation," he added, saying it was "not fair" for his wife and kids to experience the same thing again.

Vince represented England in 13 Test matches and the last match he played against New Zealand in 2-18. He also played 25 ODIs and his last one-day internationals outing was against Bangladesh in 2023 and took two catches as a substitute fielder in the 2019 Cricket World Cup final victory against New Zealand.
