In her formal statement to the police, the complainant detailed the events leading up to the incident, claiming that Sulaman Qadir contacted her on January 22. He reportedly requested that she report to his farmhouse the following morning under the pretense of performing additional cleaning duties, which is when the alleged assault occurred.
"It is submitted that I work as a domestic helper/maid. I work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On 22.01.2026, the owner of the house, Salman Qadir, son of Abdul Qadir, called me and said, 'Come to the farmhouse tomorrow morning; I have to take you along to get the cleaning done," the FIR read.

In her formal complaint, the worker detailed that the incident began on the morning of January 23 at approximately 10:00 am. She alleged that she was picked up in Sulaman Qadir's personal vehicle from a location outside Green City and subsequently transported to Farm House No. 2, situated near the Abdul Qadir Cricket Academy in Newas Barki.
"Upon reaching there, he started molesting me. He forcibly removed my clothes and began committing sexual assault (ziyadti) against me. The accused committed rape (zina-bil-jabar) with me by force, committing a grave injustice. Strict legal action should be taken against him for this," the statement added.

A police official has confirmed that the complainant has been referred for a formal medical examination to provide forensic evidence regarding the alleged assault. In accordance with legal protocols, the 41-year-old accused, Sulaman Qadir—a former cricketer who appeared in 26 first-class and 40 List A matches between 2005 and 2013—has been taken into custody for further interrogation as the investigation proceeds.
The case has drawn everyone's attention due to Sulaman’s father, the late Abdul Qadir, who is revered as one of Pakistan’s most iconic sportsmen. Born in Lahore in 1955, the legendary wrist-spinner is credited with single-handedly reviving the art of leg-spin during an era of fast-bowling dominance. Over a storied career that included 67 Tests and 104 ODIs, he claimed 368 international wickets and famously recorded figures of $9/56$ against England in 1987, which remains a national record. His immense contributions to the game were globally recognized in 2022 when he was posthumously inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
