It's been more than 12 years since India defeated Pakistan in the 2011 ODI World Cup in Mohali before lifting the coveted trophy by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. Just like any other India vs Pakistan match, the ODI World Cup clash in 2011 was watched by over a billion people as two fierce rivals went toe-to-toe in order to book a place in the final. In the end, MS Dhoni-led Men in Blue emerged triumphant by defeating the Men in Green by 29 runs in Mohali.

Sachin Tendulkar was the top-scorer for India as he scored 85 runs off 115 balls. It wasn't a fluent knock from the Master Blaster. He survived a couple of close calls and even saw his catches being dropped. When he was batting on 23 runs, Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal trapped Sachin in front of the stumps and the on-field umpire raise his finger. The Indian batter opted for the review and the ball tracking displayed that the ball would have missed the leg stumps.

Despite the decision, Ajmal to this date is convinced that Sachin should have been out. In a recent interview, the ex-Pakistan spinner even said that the technology was tinkered with to ensure ball misses stumps in ball tracking.

"I played in the 2011 World Cup in India. If you could remember the controversial call of Sachin Tendulkar's wicket. Umpire and I still say he was out. They cut the last two frames to make the ball miss the stumps. Otherwise, it would have directly hit the middle stump," said Ajmal on Nadir Ali's podcast, as quoted by NDTV Sports.

Talking about the match, India posted a total of 260/9 in 50 overs. With the ball, the Men in Blue bundled out 231 runs in 49.5 overs.
