India's U19 Women's T20 World Cup heroes Shweta Sehrawat and Parshavi Chopra headline the India ‘A’ squad for the upcoming Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023, starting in Hong Kong on June 12. The team will be captained by Shweta Sehrawat, with the Women in Blue facing off against hosts Hong Kong on June 13 in their campaign opener at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.

"The All India Women's Selection Committee on Friday announced the India 'A' (Emerging) squad for the upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023," BCCI said in a release.

"The tournament, which will be played in Hong Kong at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, will feature eight teams which are divided into two Groups – Group A and Group B. 

The tournament commences on June 12, 2023, and the final will be played on June 21, 2023. India ‘A’ (Emerging) is a part of Group A which also features hosts Hong Kong, Thailand ‘A’ and Pakistan ‘A’ while Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates are slotted in Group B," the full statement read.

In addition to Shweta and Parshavi, a number of other stars from the triumphant India squad will participate in the upcoming youth tournament. They include Titas Sadhu, with Soumya Tiwari as the vice-captain, as well as Mannat Kashyap.
