Bihar batters bashed Arunachal Pradesh bowlers all around the park to script history at JSCA Stadium, Ranchi on December 24 to break the record for highest List A score. On the opening day of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ayush Loharuka and skipper Sakibul Gani’s blazing centuries helped them post a gigantic total of 574/6.
The only team to surpass 500 in a List A game is 506/2. On November 21, 2022, Tamil Nadu posted 506/2 against Arunachal Pradesh in Bengaluru, courtesy Narayan Jagadeesan's record-breaking 277-run knock.
Suryavanshi got the ball rolling with a 36-ball ton. He smashed 15 sixes and 16 fours in his 84-ball 190. He also broke the record for fastest 150, achieving the feat from just 59 balls. The previous record belonged to former South Africa captain AB de Villiers.
After Suryavanshi, Ayush Loharuka scored a century as well. Before getting run out, the wicketkeeper-batter whacked eight sixes and 11 fours in his 56-ball 116.

Then, skipper Gani broke the record for fastest century by an Indian batter in List A cricket. He reached his century from just 32 balls. The skipper hit 12 sixes and 10 fours in his unbeaten 40-ball 128.
Gani finished the innings with a six, helping Bihar post a gigantic total of 574/6 on the board.
Mibom Basu turned out to be the most expensive bowler for Arunachal Pradesh. From nine overs, he conceded 116 runs.
