Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant who is currently spending family time before the Test series against New Zealand was spotted playing gully cricket with fans where he explained the rules to fellow teammates. The star cricketer shared a clip of playing in gully cricket where the rules seem typical.
“Deewar par direct lagna out (Hitting the wall directly is out), one-tip one-hand is out, three beats out…” Pant explains in the video.
Pant was last featured for India in the two Test match series against Bangladesh, which was his comeback game in the longest format of the game after recovering from a near-fatal accident. He made a memorable red-ball comeback by smashing a century in the first Test match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The 27-year-old has been rested from three three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. He will now be seen in action in the three-Test match series against New Zealand which is scheduled to start from October 16.
Pant made his cricketing comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, where he was the highest run-getter for his franchise, Delhi Capitals (DC). Following his IPL heroics, Pant was named in India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad, where he scored 171 runs.
After the New Zealand series, Rohit Sharma-led side will travel to Australia for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 where India will take on Australia for the five-Test match series.
India vs Australia Schedule
The five-Test match series between India and Australia (Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is scheduled to start from November 22 the first Test take place in Perth.
The second Test will be held from December 6 to 10 at Adelaide Oval, featuring the thrilling day-night format under the stadium's lights.
Following that, the action moves to The Gabba in Brisbane for the third Test, scheduled for December 14 to 18. The series will then reach a pivotal moment with the traditional Boxing Day Test at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, running from December 26 to 30.
Finally, the fifth and concluding Test will unfold at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January 3 to 7, promising an exhilarating finish to this captivating series.
