According to Sports Now journalist, the young opener chose not to dwell on the early setback, instead spending nearly 60 minutes in the practice nets to iron out errors under the close supervision of the team's support staff.

The lapse occurred on the second ball of India’s innings when pacer Vishwa Fernando tempted Jaiswal with a full delivery pitched wide outside off stump. Attempting an aggressive cut shot rather than letting the ball pass, the opener offered a thick outside edge toward backward point, where Dilum Sudeera pulled off a diving catch to his right. Visible frustration followed as Jaiswal trudged back to the pavilion without scoring, setting the stage for his prompt return to the practice range.

During the practice match, India quickly recovered from Jaiswal's early exit thanks to a stabilizing 96-run second-wicket stand between KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal.
