Oman Cricket (OC) has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka next year. Jitender Singh will lead the side as Oman are preparing for their fourth appearance at the global event.
Changes in Oman squad
The squad includes three changes from the team that featured in the Asia Cup earlier in September. From the Asia Cup squad, Aamir Kaleem, Sufyan Yousuf, Aryan Bisht, Zikria Islam and Mohammed Imran have been dropped for the World Cup.
The three players who have been recalled into the final 15 are Wasim Ali, Jay Odedra and Karan Sonavale. The tournament is scheduled to start on February 7, and the title decider will take place on March 8.

Oman's Group Stage schedule
Oman will start their campaign against Zimbabwe on February 9 in Colombo, and after that, the side will face the co-hosts on February 12 followed by a match against Ireland (Colombo) on February 14. Oman, who are placed in Group B, will conclude their group assignment with a game against heavyweights Australia in Kandy on February 20.
Oman to play warm-up matches
Before featuring in the mega event, Oman will play warm-up matches against Zimbabwe on February 3 and against Sri Lanka A on February 6 in Colombo.
“We have a good combination and mix of players. Majority of the players will be getting their maiden World Cup experience but this will be good for them.The players know that this is our fourth World Cup and it is time for Oman to make their presence felt as mere participation is not enough. It is time for us to get some positive results this time," said Oman head coach Duleep Mendis on squad announcement.
