Alvaro Arbeloa reportedly has no plans to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold and is waiting for his return to training.

Injury setbacks have limited Alexander-Arnold to just 16 appearances this season after his dream move from Liverpool.

Real Madrid's newly appointed manager Alvaro Arbeloa reportedly has a massive level of confidence in right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The New Real Madrid coach is keen on working with the English defender and has no plans to sell him.

Alvaro Arbeloa's faith in Trent Alexander-Arnold

As per a report by Jose Felix Diaz of AS, Arbeloa is waiting for Alexander-Arnold's recovery and rejoining training sessions. The Spanish coach has not asked the defender to search for a new club, just moments after moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that Real Madrid were looking to sell Alexander-Arnold and had told him that he has no future at the club under the newly appointed manager. However, fresh reports have slammed all the exit rumors, adding that the manager has full trust in the former Liverpool star's abilities.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's dream move to Real Madrid

The Englishman became the eighth British player to represent Real Madrid in the summer after he ran down his contract at Liverpool. The Spanish side had to pay €10 million to sign a month before his contract expired, as they wanted him to feature at the FIFA Club World Cup.

After arriving at Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold said that he knew that the move was the only step he needed to take in his career after Liverpool and said:

"It was never a question of where, it was whether to go or not to go. I've known for a long time, if I was to ever leave Liverpool it would only be to go to Real Madrid. That would be the only club for me."

Trent Alexander-Arnold's struggle with injuries

However, things have not gone as expected at Real Madrid as injuries have stalled his game time on the pitch. He has missed 23 games this season because of muscle issues and a hamstring injury, playing just 16 games.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was warned regarding Real Madrid move by John Aldridge

Liverpool icon John Aldridge warned Trent Alexander-Arnold that criticism at Real Madrid was going to be huge. He said that the fans and media would be on the defender's back every time he makes a mistake and wrote on Liverpool Echo:

"I've kind of known for a while that Trent Alexander-Arnold would be leaving Liverpool. You hear on the grapevine so I expected it, it's just the timing of it coming out. So I'm not shocked at all. I know some supporters are angry with him, calling him all sorts, but it's over the top. Fans are fans. Some will see one side, some will see the other side. I'm in between, really. But it will be interesting to see how he gets on there. I played in Spain for a couple of years. Every day, football papers come out. One bad game you're going to get absolutely annihilated. It's brutal."

Alexander-Arnold penned a six-year deal at Real Madrid and is yet to play a game under the new manager, Arbeloa.
