The world witnessed one of the most thrilling games between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the second leg of Copa del Rey at Spotify Camp Nou. Barcelona almost made a comeback to seal a spot in the final of the tournament, but missed it by a margin.

In the first leg of Copa del Rey, Barca picked up a hefty 4-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid. The Catalan club ensured that they will give their best to make a comeback and turn things around in the second leg.
Barcelona players stayed true to their words as they won the second leg 3-0, but lost 4-3 on aggregate, which led Diego Simeone's Atletico to reach the final of the tournament.
After the game finished, Simeone was seen having a chat with Barcelona boss Hansi Flick. Later, in the post game ceremony, Simone was questioned about what he said to Flick and revealed that he praised the opposition coach and team for their amazing performance. He also revealed that he discussed the possibility of facing Barca again in the Champions League quarterfinals.
"He was telling me his opinion on situations that happened in the match, and I told him they played brilliantly. I hope we can face each other in the Champions League quarterfinals so we can compete at our best," Simone said.
He also added that Barcelona kept their intensity high throughout the game, and appreciated the efforts from Pedri, Balde and Bernal.
"Pedri, Balde, Bernal... made a tremendous effort. It was difficult to maintain the intensity of the first half. Giménez’s entrance gave us maturity. And that maturity is needed within a team," Simone added.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to meet again in Champions League?
In the UEFA Champions League, there is a crazy possibility that Barca and Atletico Madrid could face each other again in the quarterfinals, only if both the Spanish clubs stay victorious in their last-16 games.
In the Round of 16, Barcelona will face Newcastle. On the other hand, Atletico will face Tottenham Hotspur.
