Marcus Rashford to replace Raphinha
Ahead of Barcelona's LaLiga clash against Atletico Madrid on April 4, Hansi Flick opened up on Raphinha's injury and revealed and how the team is going to overcome the upcoming challenges.
At the pre-game press conference, Hansi Flick revealed Marcus Rashford, Fermin Lopez and Gavi as the possible options to replace the Brazilian winger in the upcoming games.
"I’m happy with Marcus, he plays well. The last few weeks he’s had problems, he’s been injured, so it’s an opportunity for him. There are other options, Fermín, Gavi. I’m happy that Gavi is at a great level. We’ll see, there are more options," said Hansi Flick.
Later, Hansi Flick demonstrated some positive attitude by saying that it is quite normal for players to sustain injuries during international breaks. He also revealed that Raphinha is very disappointed with his injury, which is the reason he let him go to Brazil to spend some time with his family.
"It’s normal. The players go with the national teams, the other players also have days off. It is not the first injury this season. I spoke with him, I saw him very low in spirits so I gave him a few days. He’s in good hands. It was my decision, so I let him go to Brazil for several days with his family. At this moment we decided something different," added Hansi Flick.
