Pep Guardiola has addressed his speculations on his exit from Manchester City. The Premier League club head coach has his contract with the Sky Blues until the end of the 2026-27 season. The Spanish boss penned a two-and-a-half-year deal in November 2024, and there are rumors about Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca as his replacement.

Ahead of City’s future against West Ham, Guardiola took over the press conference to talk about the ongoing rumors. The Catan manager said:

“Well, in the last three or four years, every time in a certain period you ask me about that question. So yeah, sooner or later at 75 or 76 (years old), I will quit.”

The former FC Barcelona manager further said:

“But I understand that question when I have an end of contract, but as you said perfectly, I have 18 months (left at City).”

Guardiola then stated that he is very “delighted, happy and excited” being in the team and helping the side develop. The 54-year-old hinted that he will be coaching the team the next season, too. However, he also made it clear that anything can happen in football.

Guardiola stated that even though he had a 10-year contract with the Sky Blues, what is going to happen will happen. The City manager is currently focused on their upcoming fixture against Ham. They are currently second in the Premier League ahead of the encounter.
