Argentine football icon Lionel Messi performed Shiv Abhishek at Anant Ambani's Vantara in Jamnagar on Tuesday, December 16. Messi went to Jamnagar from New Delhi on Tuesday evening along with his Inter Miami teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul.

Messi was spotted offering prayers to Lord Shiva in front of the Shivling during the ceremony. News agency ANI shared the clips of the event on its official social media handles.

The clip also showed Messi meditating alongside his Inter Miami teammates, drawing widespread attention from fans across all over the world.

Lionel Messi paid a special visit to Vantara, the wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and conservation centre established by Anant Ambani.

Lionel Messi took part in traditional Hindu rituals, saw wildlife up close and interacted with the caregivers and conservation team.

Messi then had a guided tour of Vantara's conservation ecosystem, home to rescued big cats, elephants, herbivores, reptiles and fostered young animal's from across the world. He also visited the green energy complex, and the world's largest refinery complex, expressing admiration for the scale, vision and sustainability underpinning the operations.

He participated in a host of Hindu traditions in the complex as well, marking a great evening for the hosts and guests.
