Real Madrid may have suffered a big blow, as the latest developments suggest that Kylian Mbappe's knee injury relapsed because of a reported error from the club's medical staff. The France international missed 20 days of action because of a knee injury, but managed to make a return on the pitch this month.
Big mistake in Kylian Mbappe's injury
In December 2025, Kylian Mbappe picked up a knee injury and missed two games for Real Madrid, he later made his comeback in January. Unfortunately, the French forward injured himself again in the month of February, where he missed five games for the Spanish club.
In the second leg of UEFA Champions League RO16 tie against Manchester City, Mbappe came off the bench and participated in a LaLiga game against arch rivals, Atletico Madrid.
It is being said that Mbappe could appear in the starting line-up for the Spanish club after the conclusion of the ongoing international break.
According to a report by RMC Sport, Real Madrid's medical team committed a big error in Kylian Mbappe's treatment when he was initially injured in December 2025. The staff examined his right knee and gave him a clearance. Although, the main issue was in his left knee. Which resulted in another injury for Mbappe, as he missed another five games for Real Madrid.

So far in the 2025-26 season, Kylian Mbappe managed to score 23 goals in 24 LaLiga games. Meanwhile in the UEFA Champions League campaign, the French forward managed to record 13 goals in nine games.
