Barcelona secured a clinical 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in a LaLiga clash on Saturday, April 4 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, Madrid.

Entertaining first-half

The hosts had a strong start to the game, as Atletico started with high intensity. In the 39th minute of the game, Giuliano Simeone broke Barcelona's offside trap, as he fired a shot and scored the opener after receiving from Clement Lenglet.

In response, Barcelona's Marcus Rashford, who started as number 9 in the game, scored an equaliser in the 42nd minute of the game after receiving a through pass from Dani Olmo. In the dying stages of the stoppage time (45+7') Nico Gonzalez received a red card for his dangerous foul on Lamine Yamal, which left Atletico Madrid with 10 men.

Silent second-half

In the second half, Diego Simeone replaced Giuliano Simeone with Nahuel Molina to create a defensive block as they played deep in a 5-3-1 formation, which restricted the Catalan club to score a winner for another 40 minutes.
