In a conversation with Sport ahead of the Eastern Conference semifinals, saying that their rival teams consider games against Inter Miami as their match of the year. He said that football is a sport, where anything can happen, giving examples of his team winning against top ranked sides and losing to lower-ranked ones shortly afterwards.
"For our rivals, playing against us is the match of the year, their day to shine, their chance to be in the spotlight, their big game. That's how they approach it. Last year, we [were eliminated] first in the playoffs and lost to the eighth-placed team. That is clear proof that nothing is easy. Sometimes it seems like people underestimate us, but when it comes to competing, the results speak for themselves. Winning matches isn't easy; every match is a challenge for us. We've lost to the bottom team and beaten the top team", he said (via Fotmob).

Lionel Messi's Inter Miami qualified from a playoff tie for the first time in the history of the side when they defeated Nashville in three games in the first round. They will lock horns with Cincinnati, which has defeated them in five of their last nine meetings.
