Pop star Sabrina Carpenter publicly crowned football icon Lionel Messi as her favorite player during her ongoing Short n' Sweet Tour stop in Buenos Aires. The American singer shared a viral TikTok clip showing her dancing energetically in an Argentina national team jersey with Messi's iconic No. 10.

In the short clip, she was heard lip-syncing to Bad Bunny's hit "Tití Me Preguntó,” and the video has been making the rounds on the internet. In the post, which quickly gained attention online, the Espresso hitmaker showed off her love for the FIFA World Cup winner.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that the singer has revealed her affection for the football legend. Back in 2023, the singer, as she opened for Taylor Swift during the Buenos Aires concerts of the “Eras Tour,” Sabrina had a creative way of introducing herself.
Sabrina, in reference to the Inter Miami superstar and FC Barcelona legend, said:
“When I’m in the bedroom, I feel sexy. He’s having a ball; he calls me Messi. Argentina, will you be my bestie?”
Meanwhile, Inter Miami drew 0-0 with Charlotte FC in the MLS at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the absence of Messi.
The player's last appearance for the side was during a mid-week first-leg CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 match against Nashville SC. The MLS forward is not playing because he is rested ahead of the important upcoming fixtures.
