Robert Lewandowski to leave Barcelona in January?
As per AS (via Barca Blaugranes), Fenerbahce have made a move to sign Lewandowski in January. The striker is in the final year of his contract at Barcelona and has not been offered a new contract extension.
He will be eligible to sign a pre-contract with any club from January, but Fenerbahce are aiming to sign him in the winter transfer window. The report comes just days after his agent, Pini Zahavi, told 365 scores that a move in the winter window was not on their mind.
He revealed that Lewandowski was not willing to leave Barca mid-season and would see out his contract at the club before making a move. He said:
“Everything being said about Lewandowski ‘s possible departure in the winter transfer window is completely false. Robert isn’t thinking about leaving right now; he’s completely focused on helping the team and winning titles. He feels completely settled in Barca and has no intention of opening the door to a mid-season exit.”
