On the other hand, Japan’s Osaka, ranked No. 13, continued her strong run by defeating home favourite Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-4.

Both players are known for their aggressive baseline games and heavy hitting. Rybakina, a former Wimbledon champion, has established herself among the elite with consistent power and improved consistency.
