Detroit Lions Injury Report: List of all the players set to miss Vikings showdown

Detroit Lions Injury Report

Story Highlights:

Lions enter the Vikings showdown with confirmed absences and multiple starters facing uncertain availability.

Injury concerns could influence Detroit’s lineup decisions in a crucial NFC matchup.

Detroit Lions head into their pivotal Christmas Day road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings with mounting injury concerns. As the Lions (8-7) prepare to face the Vikings (7-8) at U.S. Bank Stadium on Thursday, Dec. 25, at 4:30 p.m. ET, their latest injury report highlights key absences that could impact both sides of the ball.

While several starters remain questionable, two Lions players have already been ruled out and will not take the field in Minnesota.

Lions players ruled out vs Vikings

Detroit’s offensive line depth takes a hit with Giovanni Manu officially ruled out due to a knee injury. Manu was limited in practice but did not progress enough to earn clearance. His absence reduces flexibility up front, especially with multiple linemen also battling injuries.

In the secondary, Avonte Maddox will miss the Vikings matchup after failing to practice with a back injury. Maddox has been a rotational contributor in 2025, recording 27 tackles and three passes defended. His absence further tests a Detroit Lions defense that may already be stretched thin against Minnesota’s passing attack.

Multiple key Lions listed as questionable

While only two players are confirmed out, Detroit has a lengthy list of contributors whose status remains uncertain heading into kickoff.

Defensive linemen Al-Quadin Muhammad (knee) and Alim McNeill (abdomen) were limited in practice, leaving the Lions’ pass rush situation unsettled. Offensive linemen Christian Mahogany (fibula), Trystan Colon (wrist), and Taylor Decker (shoulder) are also questionable, with Decker not practicing at all.

Skill-position uncertainty looms large as well. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is managing a knee issue after a limited practice week. St. Brown has been Detroit Lions’ offensive engine in 2025, posting 1,194 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Running back David Montgomery, who has rushed for 649 yards and eight scores, is questionable due to illness.

Additional players listed as questionable include Tom Kennedy, Marcus Davenport, Khalil Dorsey, and Amik Robertson, creating concerns across multiple position groups.

One positive development for Detroit Lions

There is some encouraging news. Offensive lineman Graham Glasgow returned as a full participant in practice despite dealing with a knee issue, suggesting he is trending toward availability.
