Bronny James's entry into the NBA has been a point of discussion among NBA fans. Bronny was selected in the draft by the Los Angeles Lakers . The former USC player has been under massive criticism and scrutiny, amidst the social media reactions his father and legend of basketball LeBron James came forward to defend him.
LeBron took to his Instagram account delivering a message to the critics
“Keep working kid and (expletive) all the hate/noise! You know your personal legend! THEY DONT KNOW YOU!”, he wrote.
While it hasn't been confirmed whether Bronny will secure a spot on the Lakers' main roster for the upcoming NBA season, the final decision will rest with the new coach, JJ Redick. He will determine whether Bronny will make the roster or gain experience in the G-League. For now, though, father and son will have the opportunity to share the court during the preseason.
Los Angeles Lakers preparations are in full swing
The Lakers last won a championship back in 2020. For their fans the fact that their historic rivals the Boston Celtics are the recent champions has made things worse. Boston has made major strides as the most successful team in NBA history.
The coach JJ Redick is aspiring to start the campaign on a high with much-needed practice and preparation for a highly competitive season. They would be looking to surpass their previous playoff position as their primary goal. Bronny who is the 55th pick in the draft is still uncertain about his playing.
Father-son historic duo. The duo of Son and Father will be a pleasing sight to witness making it one of the golden storylines of the NBA. The duo can create history by being the first father and son duo to play together on the same team.
LeBron on playing with Bronny said to BolaVIP "I am so excited for training camp. I mean, having your son work with you, it’s like the greatest thing. I can’t wait for this moment. I really cannot wait to hit the floor with him. It’s going to be pretty surreal for me. That might be the first time I sit back out of my whole career like, (expletive), this is really cool".
