The Indiana Pacers will go head to head against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, March 20 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. With teams like Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons breathing down the neck of Eastern Conference's fourth seed, Tyrese Haliburton needs to stay consistent if his team wants to clinch homecourt advantage in the first round of this year's postseason.
Will Tyrese Haliburton play against Brooklyn Nets?
For the past two years, Tyrese Haliburton has led Indiana Pacers to stellar regular season records and playoff series wins. The Pacers will next take on Brooklyn Nets and according to Associated Press, Tyrese Haliburton has been listed as day-to-day, keeping in mind his back injury.
Haliburton missed the last two matches Pacers played in due to a lower back issue. But, the Pacers didn't miss their star player as they won against Minnesota Timberwolves (132-130) and Dallas Mavericks (135-131). Haliburton's presence on the court is a welcome addition for the team.
He has been averaging 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game. His numbers have gone down from the previous season but he remains as a force to reckon with.
With just 14 games remaining in the regular season, Pacers might give some more rest to their star player before they begin their playoff run. But, as far as the Thursday's clash with Nets is concerned, Haliburton will be starting the match.
Tyrese Haliburton's responds to WWE legend Triple H
After missing the past two games for the Pacers, Haliburton went viral for converting on a four-point play to lead Indiana Pacers past Milwaukee Bucks on March 11. After the game, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque congratulated Haliburton on his X account. Triple H took to his X account where he wondered out loud if Haliburton's Triple H-inspired shoes were the reason behind the win.
Haliburton, who has made frequent appearances in WWE events on multiple occasions, responded by borrowing one of Triple H's catchphrases.
And if you don’t like that… We got 2 words for ya!!!! he tweeted.
The last time Tyrese Haliburton featured on a WWE event was on February 1, at the Royal Rumble. After leading the Pacers to a 132-127 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, Haliburton was present at the Lucas Oil Stadium for the Royal Rumble.
