The Memphis Grizzlies suffered a major blow when their star player Ja Morant was forced to leave Game 3 due to devastating injury. The incident occurred when only 3:15 minutes were left in the second quarter as Morant drove hard in transition and was undercut by Thunder's Lu Dort. 

What actually happened to Ja Morant in Game 3 against Oklahoma City Thunder?

The star point guard was attempting to elevate high up in air but in the process, he collided with Thunder defender mid air, which further resulted in a hard fall to the court. He was in visible pain as the crowd watched in silence. 

Morant portrayed his warrior spirit as he refused to leave the game before taking his free throws. He was clearly hobbling in the process as he stepped up to the line. The home crowd cheered Morant and even applauded the admiration of their leader. 

After taking his free throws, Morant headed straight to the locker room and further, didn't return to the court for the first half. The Memphis Grizzlies later announced that Morant will be missing the rest of the game as he has been diagnosed with a hip injury. 

Morant was able to just clock 15:32 minutes before heading straight to the locker room. During his time on the court, he was impressive as he had great chemistry with Scottie Pippen Jr. 

Before making an early exit, Morant had 11 points on the board while shooting 6 of 11, including 1 of 4 from beyond the arc and 2 of 4 from the free throws. Along with this, he even registered one rebound and five assists. However, with his early exit, Grizzlies lost the Game 3 to Thunder by a mere margin of 6 points.
