Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lavished praise on India speedster Mohammed Shami after he picked up three wickets in the semifinal clash of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Australia at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. 

Interestingly, Australia speedster Spencer Johnson will also be a part of KKR in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. The speedster is part of Australia's Champions Trophy squad but he is missing the clash against India as Steve Smith picked Tanveer Sanga over him.

KKR took their 'X' formerly known as Twitter to hails Shami for his bowling against Australia in the semifinal clash of the mega event. They shared a picture where Shami can be celebrating his first wicket. Shami's first wicket was Cooper Connolly. 

Coming back to the match, India bowlers were in good touch but Steve Smith and Alex Carey's half centuries helped Australia to score 264 in the semifinal clash. Shami was the pick of the bowlers with three scalps. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja got two and Hardik, Axar got one wicket each as India bundled out Australia in 49.3 overs.

While writing this copy, India captain Rohit Sharma is batting alongside Virat Kohli as Shubman Gill got out after scoring just eight runs. India are 43/1.
