Virat Kohli turned 34 years old on Saturday, November 5, with Team India battling Zimbabwe in their final group-stage match to confirm their place in the semifinal of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. It was a special occasion for Kohli, who has been working hard on himself and has finally shed his bad form to lead the run-scorers charts in the tournament.

And to celebrate the special occasion, BCCI's social media handles shared a special video which showed Virat Kohli cutting his birthday cake alongside mental health conditioning coach Paddy Upton, who also celebrates his birthday on the same day. It was a blessed moment with fans getting to witness a usually health-conscious Kohli letting himself loose just a little to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

The post had a simply worded caption that read, "Birthday celebrations ON in Australia ๐ŸŽ‚ ๐ŸŽ‰. Happy birthday @imVkohli & @PaddyUpton1 ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘."

After the cakes were cut, the players and staff can be seen feeding the two birthday boys their cakes, with wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant even seen walking up to his former skipper and smearing cake on his face, a tradition common between close friends.

Ahead of the match, India off-spinner R Ashwin revealed that the team cut a cake for Kohli's birthday just before coming for the outdoor practice session in Melbourne on Saturday. ย "Yeah, we got a cake. Rishabh had it. Just before we came for practice, yes," Ashwin said in the pre-match presser.
