Virat Kohli scored the 29th century of his Test career on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain. Kohli equalled legendary Australian batter Sir Don Bradman’s tally of centuries in Test cricket in his 500th international game. This is Kohli’s first Test century on overseas soil in nearly five years.

Starting Day 2 at 87, Kohli started off cautiously. He hit his first boundary of the day off Kemar Roach who bowled it to his pads. The 34-year-old achieved the milestone with a boundary off Shannon Gabriel in the 91th over of the innings.

The former Indian skipper did not follow it up with an animated celebration. He hugged his teammate Ravindra Jadeja, bowed to his teammates who have him a standing ovation and then kissed the wedding ring on his chain.

Kohli got out after scoring 121 runs from 206 deliveries including 11 fours. He got run out trying to sneak a single but Joseph's direct hit from square leg caught him just short of the crease. This is the third time Kohli got run out in his Test career.

It is also his 76th international ton. He is only behind Sachin Tendulkar on the list who has 100 international centuries.

Earlier on Day 1, Kohli achieved another milestone. He became the fifth-highest run-scorer in international cricket after surpassing former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

With his 29th Test ton, Kohli equalled Kallis on other list. This was Kohli's 12th international hundred against West Indies, the same as Kallis. He surpassed former South Africa captain AB de Villiers who has 11 Test centuries against the Caribbean's. The top spot is occupied by former Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar who has 13 centuries against West Indies.
