Gujarat Titans

The Titans are at the top of the table with 18 points. A win in the final match against Chennai Super Kings will take their points tally to 20, and this will be enough for them to make it to Qualifier 1. In case of a loss, their qualification will depend on the results of the PBKS and RCB match. Either RCB or PBKS will have to lose their last match for GT to qualify.

Punjab Kings

PBKS have 17 points, and they need a win in the last match to reach 19 points. Then PBKS will have to lose their last match to either GT or RCB. In that case, PBKS with 19 points will ensure a place in the top two, as the loser will not be able to cross 19 points.

If PBKS loses, they will be stuck at 17 points and then they will have to hope both RCB and MI lose their last match. If the team loses the final match, they will be tied on points with RCB and thus the team with the better run rate will move on.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB are facing the same situation as PBKS. They need to win the final match and hope that either GT or PBKS lose the final match. If they lose, they will need PBKS and MI to lose their final match. However, RCB have a lower run rate than PBKS; thus even if MI and PBKS lose their matches, there is a possibility that RCB may not qualify; hence, a win is a must.

Mumbai Indians

MI have the least chance of qualifying in the top two. They have 16 points in the tally and can reach a maximum of 18 points. If MI wins the last match, and PBKS and RCB lose their last match, MI will advance.

If either of RCB and PBKS loses the match with GT, and MI wins the last match then they will have a good chance to qualify as they will be tied with GT on 18 points. Since their run rate is better than GT, MI will advance.
