Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be facing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming key Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash. This is going to be a do or die game for the Shreyas Iyer-led side, as their chances to stay alive in the playoff race hangs on to the outcome of this match.
Aaron Finch suggests key change to PBKS
Former Australia skipper Aaron Finch believes that PBKS should go back to the basics, which led them enjoy the sensational first half of the tournament. Finch has suggested a key change that could guarantee a win against LSG.

In an interaction with ESPNcricinfo, the former Australia skipper urged PBKS to include Marco Jansen in the lineup for the clash against LSG, as he provides versatility in the bowling attack. Finch believes Jansen being a left-arm pacer could give an upper hand to PBKS.
"I think you have to go back to what was in your best planning at the start of the season. For me, that's Marco Jansen, especially going to the Ekana Stadium, where it's not a 200-plus scoring venue generally. I think what he provides is a bit more versatility in the attack. He's got the left-arm that can swing it up front if they decide to go that way.
According to Finch, Marco Jansen could be a x-factor as LSG top-order includes quite a few right handers, as he could bowl cutters and slower deliveries to deceive them early in the game.
"There are quite a few right-handers at the top - Inglis, Marsh and Markram. He can bowl cutters into the surface, going across the right-handers. He's a more versatile bowler and adds a little bit of batting as well," Finch added.
How Marco Jansen has fared in IPL 2026
Despite Aaron Finch's recommendation, it would be wrong to say that Jansen has been going through a fine season. The star South-African pacer has endured a tough IPL 2026 campaign, taking only seven wickets in 12 games at an economy rate of 10.38.
With the bat, he managed to score only 51 runs with a strike rate of 113.33.
