Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh has unfollowed Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Instagram, raising questions about his future with the team after the team revealed their retention list prior to the India Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, where they only kept two uncapped players and released all the megastars.
Since 2019, Arshdeep, who debuted with Punjab, has been a vital part of the team. He is a great asset to the squad because of his ability to swing the ball both ways and his talent for taking vital wickets toward the end. Fans and analysts did, however, take issue with the franchise's choice to let him go.
He is also an important player for the Indian squad, Arshdeep was instrumental in the Men in Blue's victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup. With 17 wickets, He was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the mega tournament.
His choice to unfollow the team, nevertheless, has also stoked rumours that there might be a rupture between the player and the franchise. It would be intriguing to watch whatever team makes an offer for Arshdeep Singh and where his cricket career takes him as the IPL 2025 super auction draws near. With four RTMs, PBKS may be able to purchase Arshdeep at the next auction. The left-arm pacer is expected to draw interest from the other side of the table, so the decision to let go of him is unexpected.
