The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took a strict action against Delhi Capitals’ (DC) overseas pacer Kyle Jamieson for an aggressive send-off to Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on May 1. Jamieson got too close to the 15-year-old Sooryavanshi while celebrating his wicket and received a warning in addition to a demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL's Code of Conduct and Team Officials.

“The incident occurred in the second over of the first innings, when, after dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Jamieson was found to be close to him in an aggressive manner, which could have provoked an aggressive reaction from the batter,” the IPL statement read.
After DC's win over RR, match referee Rajeev Seth imposed the sanction for the offence which. Jamieson admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction.
How Jamieson dismissed Sooryavanshi?
On the fourth ball of the second over, Sooryavanshi had hit Jamieson towards long-off for a boundary. On the next delivery, the tall pacer bowled a low dipping full toss. The southpaw was deep into the crease and took to dig it out. But, all he could manage was an under-edge. The ball hit the back pad before crashing into the stumps. The opener departed after scoring just four runs from two deliveries. RR lost two wickets for just 12 runs.
Jamieson leaks boundaries after good start
After two good overs, Jamieson was hit around the park by RR skipper Riyan Parag. He hit him for two sixes and a four. In his quota of four overs, Jamieson conceded 48 runs. Later in the innings, Parag had hit him for three consecutive fours as well.
This was DC’s first win after a hat-trick of defeats. It was also Jamieson’s second appearance in the season. He opened the bowling alongside Mitchell Starc who claimed three wickets in his first game of the season.
