Gujarat Titans assistant coach Parthiv Patel lauds Sai Sudharsan for his impressive performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Sudharsan is currently in the form of his life, in his recent outing against Rajasthan Royals (RR), the left-handed batter played the anchor's role for the Shubman Gill-led side, smashing 82 off 53 that helped GT register a dominating 58 run win against RR at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Parthiv Patel revealed that Sudharsan really worked hard in the nets, and there were times when they had dragged him out from the nets. He also praised the batting for not getting carried away despite brilliant performance in the cash-rich league.
"I think, having seen him in the last month or so, he works really hard. I'm not surprised at all that he is getting these kinds of results. There were times when we had to drag him out of the nets. He keeps it simple. In this era, it is easy to get carried away; you have to hit so many sixes, or you have to play at a certain strike rate. But he understands his game, and he backs that. That is why you see consistent performances from him," Parthiv told reporters in the post-match press conference.
Sudharsan has scored 273 runs in his five IPL 2025 outings, including three half-centuries. The batter is currently on second in the Orange Cap tally after Nicholas Pooran, who scored 288 runs so far.

Despite the presence of experienced spinner Rashid Khan, Parthiv picked Sai Kishore as the best spinner so far in the tournament.
"Siraj is bowling well, and Prasidh Krishna has been phenomenal throughout the tournament. Sai Kishore is probably the best spinner so far in this tournament. The way he is bowling and how brave he is. Every game, you see a different bowler stepping up, and that's what bowlers win you the game," he added.
After defeating RR, GT are currently IPL 2025 table toppers. The Shubman Gill-led side will now face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their upcoming clash which will take place on April 12 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
