The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to resume from June 17 after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the tournament because of rising border tensions between India and Pakistan. As both nations had a ceasefire agreement, the IPL governing body announced an updated schedule for the marquee event after consulting the government of India. 

As the BCCI announced an updated schedule and venues for the IPL 2025, the final of the tournament will take place on June 3 which was supposed to take place on May 25. Because of the updated schedule, some overseas players have already left for their respective nations and will not feature in the remainder of the IPL 2025, citing national duties. Australia and South Africa are scheduled to play the ICC WTC Final and on the other hand, England and the West Indies will play a white ball series against each other. 

Here is the updated list of overseas players of every franchise. 

Mumbai Indians

The five-time champions are on the verge of qualifying for the IPL 2025 playoffs, They are currently on number four in the points table with seven wins in 12 outings of the tournament. As per close Sources to Sports Tak, there will be no overseas player from MI who will miss the remainder of the tournament. The franchise will likely to sign Jonny Bairstow and Richard Gleeson after Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks' departure. 


Punjab Kings

Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) will likely to suffer a huge blow as their six players will likely to miss the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Punjab-based franchise is currently at number three in the points table with seven wins in the 11 outings of the tournament.

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans are currently the table toppers with eight wins in 11 outings in the tournament, and their update yet to come.

Lucknow Super Giants

Rishabh Pant-led side are currently hopeful that all of their overseas players will join the squad and feature in the remainder of the tournament. 


Chennai Super Kings

CSK has had a forgettable outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the five-time champions have become the first team to be ruled out of the tournament. Sports Tak understands that all players, barring Jamie Overton and Sam Curran will join the squad for their remainder of the matches in the cash-rich league. 

Kolkata Knight Riders

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are currently in a spot of bother, the franchise has to win all their matches to stay in the playoffs contention. They will play the first match after the IPL 2025 resumption. KKR's Moeen Ali and Rovman Powell will not be available for the rest of the tournament.

Delhi Capitals 

The Delhi-based franchise suffered a huge blow after getting a good start in the mega event. DC are currently number five in the points table with six wins in 11 matches and they are also a strong contender to qualify for the playoffs but their four players will miss the rest of the tournament. Bangladesh star Mustafizur Rahman doubtful because of an NOC awaited.

Rajasthan Royals 

RR are currently out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 after getting a poor start. They are currently on number nine with just three wins in 12 outings. All of their foreign players will join the squad except Jofra Archer. He will miss the remainder of the tournament because of thumb injury. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Last edition's finalists, Sunrisers Hyderabad, are also ruled out of the tournament and they have just three games left for the tournament, so all of their players will feature in the remainder of the tournament. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also had a great outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 so far, they are currently on number two in the points table with eight wins in 11 outings. Josh Hazlewood's participation is yet to confirm by the franchise.
